Straight from Bethesda’s E3 Showcase is the world premier of footage from the new DOOM. As expected, it’s very, very violent. You’ll be seeing the game’s hero work his way around an industrial facility and hell itself while killing loads of demons with a variety of weapons and takedown moves He’s even got a power suit of sorts, allowing him to dash and double jump. Bethesda has also revealed the game’s multiplayer mode, which is looking very twitchy.
Along with gameplay of DOOM‘s single and multiplayer modes, Bethesda has announced that the game will come with a game creation tool called DOOM Snapmap. Maps, missions, and gameplay logic can be edited and shared with others online for custom game types. Neat!
DOOM (it doesn’t seem to be called DOOM 4) will release in the spring of 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
