A lot of fans were understandably concerned when Dead Rising 3 was demoed at Microsoft’s E3 press conference, due it is lack of humour and adoption of a grimmer, darker art style. Well, it looks like the new aesthetics and presentation were a very concious choice by Capcom, as Dead Rising 3 is supposed to “appeal to a wider audience,” particularly the Call of Duty crowd.
Hey, remember the last time Capcom took a beloved franchise and tried to make it appeal to the Call of Duty audience? Man, that REALLY worked out for them, in such a variety of ways too! Everyone knows that if you try to emulate Call Of Duty, then you’ll see the same sale numbers as Call Of Duty too!
This is very silly, and it looks like Capcom isn’t learning from their recent mistakes.
