Chinese mobile developer NEKCOM has released their game DYING: Sinner Escape today. Available for the iPhone and iPad, DYING is selling for $2.99. Along with the announcement comes a launch trailer that shows how the game will be played on a touch device. While the acting is pretty bad, the visual design and gameplay reminds me a bit of a handful of PS2 survival horror classics. Perhaps the bad voice acting even helps with that feeling.
I didn’t expect to become interested in this game all that much, but this trailer oddly captured my attention. I guess because it looks and sounds like a game from an era where survival horror games were top notch and creepy. I might not be able to play this due to owning no iOS device, but I await the PlayStation Vita version that is set to come out later this year.
