Dying Light to receive 250 additional “Legendary Levels” with free update

Techland, developer of Dying Light, doesn’t just want you to play the new Dying Light: The Following content and be done with their game. Oh, no. Today the developer has announced an addition to the game’s leveling system with “Legendary Levels”, effectively increasing the level cap by 250 for more skills, power ups, and unlocks.

The Legendary Levels update will be released free as a patch and be included in Dying Light: Enhanced Edition. With it comes the ability to continue to gain experience to unlock upgrades to all of your character’s attributes, plus unlock badges, costumes, and weapons.

“We listen closely to our community and hear many voices of people who did every single thing in Dying Light wanting more. Legendary Levels are one of the ways how we’re making the post-game content more meaty – explains Maciej Binkowski, lead game designer. “We’re adding 250 additional levels, so you can keep on developing your character while unlocking new weapons, outfits, emblems, and skills. It means massive replayability.”

Legendary Levels will become available on February 9th, the same day as the release of the expansive The Following DLC. Check out the video below for a quick look at the update.
