Dying Light‘s next chunk of DLC, and its biggest one to date, The Following has had a reveal trailer released today by developer Techland. The new story-based content takes place in an entirely new map populated by the undead and a strange cult with ties to the outbreak. As protagonist Kyle Crane, players will meet a host of new characters in the new map as he makes moves to infiltrate the cult and learn their plans.
The big new addition to Dying Light: The Following are vehicles. Kyle (And co-op buddies) will be able to drive and customize off-road buggies to traverse the map’s open areas. Buggies will even have their own new skill tree to upgrade. Dying Light appears to be borrowing a little bit more from Far Cry and I can’t say that bothers me at all. Bring it on.
A release date has not yet been determined for the DLC, but it will cost $14.99. Season Pass holders will have access to the content without additional charge. In the DLC’s QA, it’s also revealed that Techland is investigating how to bring the Be The Zombie mode to the new map, stating that they’ll have to have a Night Hunter adapted to the demands of its surrounding. Oh!
