Dying Light, the parkour zombie title by the folks behind Dead Island, has gotten its first trailer. The trailer is unfortunately CG only, but it shows off some interesting ideas surrounding using parkour in zombie infested environments. The trailer ends with a surprise to the tune of Techland’s more emotional Dead Island trailers.
I thought that Dead Island Riptide was a pretty decent game, so I have higher hopes for Dying Light. The inclusion of parkour has my interest piqued; I absolutely loved Mirror’s Edge, so having free-running abilities put in place to escape zombies sounds awesome. I guess we’ll find out come E3 if the game is something to truly be excited for.
