We reported a while ago on the iOS horror game Dungeon Nightmares, but now this creepy smartphone game has made its way to more devices thanks to its release on web browsers. I took some time to play the game myself and, keeping in mind that it’s free, I can say that it’s definitely worth a look.
The game is brought to you through the Unity Web Engine, so after just one quick installation you can play the game in Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox or Opera. This software is free as well and makes it possible to play 3-Dimensional games with reasonable graphics.
Dungeon Nightmares is a good example of one such game, as it has you explore nightmarish labyrinths while all manner of ghostly apparitions haunt you through the halls. It manages to craft a fairly impressive atmosphere with very little and has some really good jump-scares spread throughout. The game has also won over a handful of Youtube personalities, including PewDiePie and Markiplier, which makes sense to me since it feels like a game that demands to be Let’s Played a lot, especially by those that follow PewDiePie’s style.
If you want a cool horror experience without spending any cash, then Dungeon Nightmares will definitely fill that need.
