Indie publisher Digerati has announced that the Indonesian survival horror game DreadOut 2 will be coming to PlayStation and Xbox platforms this July.
Originally released on PC in 2020, the sequel to DreadOut is a unique take on the third-person action-adventure survival horror genre and centers around Indonesian myths and the supernatural. The protagonist of the first game, Linda Melinda, is back and must deal with the return of a strange evil.
Gameplay is a mixture of exploration, smartphone ghost hunting, and combat within the supernatural realm. The game also features a touch of lighthearted high school interactions, satiric social commentary, and memorable character moments.
Features:
- DreadOut 2 utilizes a mixture of improved mechanics from the previous entry along with a new combat-oriented mechanic
- Banish them all! DreadOut-style smartphone ghost hunting is back
- Fight back and survive using any available melee weapons throughout Linda’s journey
- Battle hideous bosses that roam the supernatural realm
DreadOut 2 will release for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on July 15th, and for PS5 and PS4 on July 20th, for $19.99 / €19.99. The PC version is available to buy now via Steam here.
