Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate has been out for almost two weeks now (check out my review) , which means we’re one step closer to the release of MercurySteam’s grand finale to their Castlevania trilogy, Lords of Shadow 2. The upcoming numbered sequel will be hitting the PC, alongside its fellow console versions, but the original game has yet to do so. Well, it looks like that’s about to change.
Thanks to the eyes at NeoGAF, the original Lords of Shadow has been spotted in Steam’s registry. The Steam entry is titled: “Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Early Access Comp.” While not officially being revealed by Konami, this definitely indicates that the game will be eventually hitting Steam.
The more people experience this game the better. MercurySteam showed us how a reboot can be done properly, while still maintaining a series’ foundational elements. We just have the final part in the trilogy left, but I can already say the Lords of Shadow saga is shaping up to be my absolute favorite video game trilogy.
