The long-awaited early access to the new DOOM that came bundled with Wolfenstein: The New Order copies is not quite here, but in the meantime, those who register for the DOOM Beta have a chance to be selected for the DOOM Multiplayer Alpha. If you purchased TNO on or prior to May 26, be sure to register your beta code in order to become eligible for the DOOM Multiplayer Closed Alpha test. Go to the following page to register your code regardless of platform: http://doom.com/en-us/alpha. Those selected will receive an email confirming their approval.
The DOOM Multiplayer Closed Alpha will feature the Heatwave map and the 6v6 Team Deathmatch mode. There will be one demon powerup which turns a player into a jetpack-equipped Revenant and one power weapon: the Gauss Cannon. Overall, the alpha will have six available weapons and two equipment items: Personal Teleporter and Frag Grenades. There’s no reason not to make use of the beta code if you have one, so go right on ahead and test the new DOOM.
