Remember the DOOM multiplayer beta pre-order incentive that came with the Wolfenstein: The New Order? Well, that’s not quite ready, but a limited-invite alpha is!
id’s Executive Producer Marty Stratton announced at the show’s opening presentation that QuakeCon attendees will be able to get hands-on time with the pre-alpha multiplayer portion of the new DOOM starting today. So if you’re at the show, keep your eyes and ears open for a chance to shoot demons and stuff.
As for those that purchased Wolfenstein: The New Order and registered for the DOOM beta, Stratton also revealed that a small percentage will receive access to the DOOM alpha multiplayer test. Invites to the alpha will be sent out “soon” to Xbox One, PS4, and PC gamers. How soon? Well, according to the Bethesda blog, “in the coming months”.
