Jesse Makkonen — developer of Silence of the Sleep and Distraint — has dropped a surprise sequel Greenlight campaign for Distraint 2. The sequel promises to be “bigger and better” than the original, which released October 2015. We reviewed it just about a year ago and gave it a positive 7/10, writing “it’s a package equivalent to a cheap film rental,” — good but flawed.
Distraint 2 picks up right where the first game left off, putting you in the shoes of a distraught chibi man named Price. Based on the two trailers released, the first game’s distinct art style has very much returned. Makkonen states that the story to the sequel will be darker both in terms of sheer horror and dark comedy. Here’s hoping it’s greenlit soon!
