Dino Crisis 1 & 2 Return with Enhanced PC Versions on GOG

Dino Crisis

GOG has continued its mission of preserving classic video games by adding Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 to its catalog in enhanced PC versions, available starting today as part of the GOG Preservation Program.

This initiative has been a positive move for gamers, bringing back two beloved titles that hold a special place in many fans’ hearts. Despite Capcom’s continued neglect of the series, players can now purchase and enjoy the original Dino Crisis 1 and Dino Crisis 2 in upgraded versions for PC, all through the GOG store.

These two survival horror games, originally released between 1999 and 2000, were created by the legendary Shinji Mikami. They served as a Jurassic-themed variant of the classic Resident Evil mechanics, focusing on survival against hostile dinosaurs.

While the gameplay and style were similar to the famous Capcom horror games, Dino Crisis became a fan favorite and still has a loyal following. In fact, it is one of the top series that fans most want to see make a comeback from Capcom’s collection.

This relaunch of the first two titles through GOG is exciting news for many players. The games have been updated for modern screens and come with several improvements, all without DRM restrictions.

Notably, the games can be played in Original, Arrange, and Operation Wipe Out modes, with DirectX enhanced rendering, support for 4K resolution, V-sync, gamma correction, and anti-aliasing. Additionally, there is support for modern controllers and tweaks to the save system and interface.

You can find Dino Crisis 1 here and Dino Crisis 2 here on GOG, or purchase both games together through a special bundle.
