Devil May Cry HD Collection is now available (it’s been out since last week!)

Maybe you’re one of the people that have already picked up the Devil May HD Collection late last week when it mysteriously started showing up at GameStop locations, days before its official release date. If so, then this post should be completely irrelevant to you. Regardless, I’m sure there’s good samaritans in our reader base that wanted to wait for the official date to hit instead of jumping the gun (okay, not really).

So let’s just pretend that today is the first day you’re able to pick up the game on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, which compiles Devil May Cry 1, 2 and 3. If you haven’t experienced these games before, I highly recommend picking this up, and even if you have, there’s no harm in diving back to a trilogy that helped define the action genre, making it what it is today in a world full of Gods of War and Ninja Gaidens.

Devil May Cry 1 is the classic that started it all, Devil May Cry 2 is described by many as the worst in the series, but I can’t really judge it just yet since it’s the only DMC title I’ve yet to play, and Devil May Cry 3 is another amazing title. If I had to pick a favorite in the series, it’ll definitely have to be the threequel, so an HD remaster of that game alone is enough to warrant the compilation’s price for me. What about you? Which game are you most excited about replaying, or playing for the first time?

To celebrate the occasion, Capcom has also released a launch trailer for the game, and you can check that out below. And be sure to stay tuned for our official review to hit sometime next week (the tardiness is due to my review copy not coming in yet).
