Yeah, I think it’s safe to say that we can call this a wrap, friends.
After the other day’s news that an Austrian retailer had put Devil may Cry 5 up for preorder, it seems to only clinch the deal even further that a web domain for devilmaycry5.com has been registered. While the page is currently inoperable, Bloody Disgusting did a little internet sleuthing to discover that GMO Internet, the same web company that set up Capcom’s Monster Hunter World, Resident Evil 7, and the still blank Resident Evil 2 website from a while back. At this point, I think it’s pretty safe to say it’s just a matter of having the popcorn ready for the big reveal.
All of this comes on the heals of a major leak that rumored DMCV as being revealed at this coming E3 as a direct sequel to 2008’s Devil May Cry 4 and the aforementioned preorder posting. All of this has only been working to hype fans up even more, after a Capcom financial report declared that the company has two “major” untitled releases coming before March 2019. Fans have been speculating that Devil May Cry 5, along with Resident Evil 2 Remake, are the two titles the report is referring to. There’s only days left before E3 either proves all of this true, or dashes our hopes once again, so stay tuned, folks.
