Depth’s ‘Big Catch’ update adds new modes, balancing, and sharks … also a Megalodon

The developers of the multiplayer horror title, Depth, a game in which divers face off against sharks, has been updated recently with the “Big Catch” content update. The update brings a new map, two new sharks for regular play (Mako and Tiger), balancing for the original Great White (so that each shark has a unique speciality), new gear for divers, an extensive toolset for map making, and a freaking Megalodon!

One of my personally requested features for Depth was a game mode where divers had to face off against one mighty Megalodon, combating the sheer ferocity and size of this extinct species. And as if by some wondrous miracle (or more likely a simple case of “no duh!”), developer Digital Confectioners have done just that. A new 5 v 1 Megalodon multiplayer mode has been added to Depth, forgoing treasure scavenging for a concentration on combat. The trailer below shows off the monstrous shark, and it looks pretty awesome.

All of the content in the “Big Catch” update is free and available now on Steam via a client update.
