Death Stranding Goes Gold

Kojima Productions’ long-awaited Death Stranding — the game which we kinda only recently figured out what it’s all about — has gone gold.

Last night, the studio posted a photo of a hard copy of the Death Stranding gold master disk, ready for sendoff to the powers that be that will copy and print that data to disks that will distribute worldwide on November 8th for PlayStation 4.

It’s been a long journey for Hideo Kojima’s first new game after his dramatic breakup from Konami. The Metal Gear writer and director also tweeted about the series of events and contributions of his staff, Sony, and developer Guerilla Games that led to Death Stranding‘s creation. While many Silent Hill fans were disappointed to see Kojima depart from what very well may have been a revival of that series (and some to this day refusing to accept the truth), Death Stranding no doubt will tickle our “WTF” senses. We’re looking forward to seeing what the hell this game is truly about.
