A Deadly Premonition Director’s Cut has just been confirmed and it’s coming to the PS3. This amazing announcement was given by ex-Marvelous CEO Yasuhiro Wada at GDC. Wada and SWERY65 are going to be working together, along with Toybox studio to create a remastered version of the original 2010 cult-classic.
The new version will contain new scenarios, and Playstation Move support. No further details were given at GDC, but Wada says more will be revealed at this year’s E3. Why this remaster is limited to just the PS3 has not been revealed. I guess it makes up for all those interested PS3 gamers having to either never play the game, or deal with the trials of an import copy.
Currently, the original version for the Xbox 360 is at the low price of $20. If you’re so inclined, try it out. Just get past the first chapter and your life will never be the same.
