The recent release of the Deadly Premonition Director’s Cut was supposed to be a joyous occasion, but this wasn’t the case, as word quickly got around that the PC re-release of the cult-classic had a lot of glaring issues. Luckily, Rising Star Games has just announced on Twitter that a fix is on the way!
Initially, the game was lacking in graphic options, was locked in 720p and did not support controllers, the latter of which has been confirmed to be a priority. A modder by the name of “Durante” decided to create his own patch for the game, which is currently in its alpha 0.8 state and can be checked out here. Durante has done some impressive work and the latest version already adds options for Depth of Field to the game, but it’ll be interesting to see how this official update will affect his work and whether or not he will even continue to develop new versions.
A quick message for all the wonderful #DeadlyPremonition fans out there! We have not forgotten you 🙂 A patch is on the way <3
