Deadly Premonition” Director’s Cut whistles to release on April 30th

Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut now has a solid release date in North America. The spiffy re-release with new content, improved graphics, improved controls, and Move support, will hit the PlayStation 3 at the end of April. Swery, the game’s director and creator, even has his signature on the game’s official boxart. Now that’s a sign of quality!

I absolutely loved Deadly Premonition. It’s one of the most ludicrous, awkward, and surprisingly amazing video games out there. Sure it’s technically and graphically dated, but it’s a real treat once you understand just what you’re playing. This re-release also gives PlayStation 3 players a chance to finally try the game, as it was originally exclusive to the Xbox 360 in North America. The PS3 only saw the Japanese release, Red Seeds Profile. The game will also release at a budget price of $40. I can’t recommend trying the game enough, especially now that some of the wonkier aspects have been polished. Also, both Amazon and Gamestop will have some preorder content that will be vacation themed DLC (presumably costumes for York).
