Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut now available to pre-purchase on Steam, iOS companion app available now

Special Agent Francis York Morgan is making yet another visit to our coffee-filled hearts this week by announcing the availability of two digital Deadly Premonition goodies. The once PS3 exclusive Deadly Premonition: Director’s Cut is now available to pre-purchase on Steam and the Deadly Premonition Visual Companion app is now available for purchase on iTunes.

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut launches on Steam on October 29th, just in time for Halloween. The game is selling for $24.99, but a temporary pre-purchase discount brings the price down to $22.49. Those who pre-purchase the game will also receive a free upgrade to the “Deluxe Edition”. The store page does not indicate what’s in the Deluxe Edition, but the official Rising Star Games Twitter account has stated that it will include the game’s official soundtrack–something that has not been officially released until now. The PC release will have Steam Trading Cards, achievements, and hopefully a smooth framerate.

The Deadly Premonition Visual Companion app is now available on iTunes for $9.99. This iPad exclusive app contains 352 pages of behind-the-scenes material on the game, including concept art, developer notes, character bios, and even a soundboard.

The app sounds pretty cool but, alas I do not have an iPad. But I do have a new gaming PC that could do with a healthy serving of F.K. Color me excited for that. I can’t wait to tour Greenvale in 1080P with all of the graphical fixings. Maybe we’ll even get some fan-made mods to make the game even crazier than it is; the potential of this PC release is fun to think about. I can’t wait to hop in.
