Those of us that that have been eagerly awaiting the April 30th release date for Deadly Premonition Director’s Cut may just have to wait a little longer yet, as many people are reporting the game not being available at certain retailers. In a thread on NeoGAF, many users are reporting their Amazon orders have yet to have been processed and that the shipping dates are 1-2 months from now. While other users are claiming their pre-order arrived just fine today, it would seem there are some supply issues with the game at the very least.
I tried to pick the game up at my local EB Games today only to have the manager of the store tell me there was an issue with the release/shipping dates. He claimed his head office told him that the game was only supposed to ship today, not release. That would of course be contrary to news we received months ago that the game would be releasing today, and the fact that many people have still been able to pick up the game in North America. Whatever the issue is with retailers, let’s hope it gets sorted out soon.
The game is still available for all to download for all NA fans on the Playstation Store though, doesn’t digital distribution rock?
