Rising Star Games has just dropped a mega-ton of screenshots for the upcoming Deadly Premonition Director’s Cut. In the drop, we can see a few graphical improvements, a new UI for York, character renders, and environment pictures. Along with the screenshots comes a release date of April 30th. There’s also talk of a new, “branching” ending. Does this mean that we can prevent that unfortunate incident that occurred at the end of the original game? I hope so!
While the visuals don’t look that much better than the original, the cleaner textures are welcome. My main reasons to pick up the Deadly Premonition Directors Cut are the revamped controls and new missions. The 3D and Move support may not be for me, but I’m sure someone will appreciate it. As for DLC info, it seems that the game will be supported with new costumes for York, cars, items, and housing. Does this mean that we can settle down in Greenvale post-campaign? Interesting.
Deadly Premonition Director’s Cut will be sold as a budget title for $40 at retail and is exclusive to the PlayStation 3.
