A 30 second trailer for Dead Rising 3 has hit the tubes, and it’s kinda charming in a gross kind of way. Using the song “Happy Together” by The Turtles, the trailer showcases Nick’s affectionate relationship with one of his many weapons. Together they dispatch common foes, gracefully leaving only chunks behind.
I’m sure many of you are thinking it, so I’ll just bring it up: I too remember the TV spot for Smash Bros that used the very same song. While that one was more entertaining, simply due to the fact that people in costumes went from skipping to fighting, the use of the song for this trailer isn’t all too bad. It shows that the game is keeping it lighthearted and fun despite being drab-looking and filled with angry zombies.
Despite this game being exclusive to the Xbox One, let’s be happy. Hug the person closest to you. Come on, do it. They don’t know you but that’s OK. Shhh.
