This holiday season is going to be jam-packed with big games from various big-name publishers, as well as the beginning of a brand new console generation with the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Many have already pre-ordered their systems, others are possibly waiting for the excitement and accompanying craziness of camping out for a midnight launch. And maybe there are some that just don’t care! Regardless of which camp you fall under, there’s no denying that wallets will cry from now until the year is up.
But enough with this general overview of the gaming landscape in the very near future, let’s talk Dead Rising!
To tie in with the Day One edition of the Xbox One, Microsoft is also offering Day One editions for three of their launch titles for the console. The noteworthy one for us is Dead Rising 3 (for those interested, the other two games are Forza Motorsport 5 and Ryse: Son of Rome.)
This limited Day One edition of the game (priced the same as a standard edition) will include special Day One DLC. It will come in the form of the Tribute Pack. This includes two special outfits for our new protagonist, along with their own perks:
Classic Frank West outfit with Frank’s Zombie Slugger weapon, extra gory attacks and a custom skill move. Also includes attribute perks for increased melee damage and tougher survivors.
Official Chuck Greene outfit with Paddle Saw combo weapon that cuts through zombie hordes with increased damage and durability. Also includes attribute perks for vehicle and weapon durability.
