Earlier today news was released about a PlayStation 4 version of Housemarque’s excellent zombie-filled twin-stick shooter, Dead Nation. It was listed on PlayStation Blog Asia as coming to their region next week as part of their PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection. Well, it’s coming to the US, too.
Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition is making its way to the PlayStation 4 on March 4th for the price of $14.99. PlayStation Plus members will get it absolutely free. The game boasts nicer visuals at full 1080p and improved controls adding a quick weapon select. The Road to Devastation DLC is also included in the main campaign, bringing arcade and endless mode with it. It also includes a new challenge mode and a Broadcast+ mode.
Broadcast+ mode seems really neat. Here you can stream your game. Your viewers are given the ability to alter your game’s difficulty. Throughout the game viewers will have the option to vote on certain game effects, positive or negative. There are a total of 30 effects which include the ability to spawn hordes of zombies or more kind ones like giving the player extra ammo. Pissed off at your annoying viewers making you go through hell? Well, you’ll be happy to know that voters will actually appear in-game as named zombies for you to show your anger.
