A free-to-play MOBA spin-off of Dead Island is something that exists. Dead Island: Epidemic has shown off what it will look like today, and it’s OK I guess. Based on the screens, you can see that Epidemic has zombies and it is indeed a MOBA. What’s unique about this game is that the crafting mechanic will carry over from the main game.
Dead Island: Epidemic will be a 12-player title featuring three teams of four. Each team has to complete objectives and capture control points while fending off waves of zombie threats. Some objectives will require that teams work together.
I like Dead Island well enough, but a MOBA spinoff is just not for me. But hey, maybe it will be fun and entertain fans of the genre.
