JBoc924It has been announced that Deep Silver will be working with Square Enix in order to distribute Techland’s upcoming first-person survival horror title Dead Island to the North and South American regions. This doesn’t mean that Square Enix will be taking up publishing duties on the game, though, they’ll just be lending a hand in distributing the title in the specified regions. The reason for this is summed up by Aubrey Norris from Deep Silver:
“Retailers will only buy from companies that they do X amount of regular business with. Since [Deep Silver] is too small to have that, we need a distributor.”
