Dead Island 2 will receive a significant free update on October 22nd, featuring new modes that fans are sure to enjoy. One highlight of this update is Neighborhood Watch, a co-op horde mode where players team up as college kids, known as the Bobcats, to defend their frat house from an impending zombie invasion. The game spans five fictional days, with players completing various missions, setting traps, and stockpiling weapons to prepare for the final day’s onslaught.
According to the update’s description: “On the fifth and final day, the zombie onslaught begins! If your defenses, skills, and teamwork are up to the task, you might just live to tell the tale.” This mode emphasizes teamwork and strategy, offering a fresh challenge for players.
In addition to “Neighborhood Watch,” the update introduces New Game Plus, allowing players to revisit Hell-A with added difficulty, a new skill slot, and an increased level cap. There are also new skins, weapons, and enemies to keep the gameplay fresh.
The update coincides with the launch of the Ultimate Edition, which includes the base game, both story expansions, and extra content such as weapon and skin packs.
