DayZ Standalone’s full release set for 2016; Price increase effective next week

Bohemia Interactive, developers of DayZ Standalone has announced today their official pricing and release plans for the game post-Early Access. DayZ Standalone will be officially released in the first half of 2016, according to a report by Eurogamer. The full release will be sold for €39.99 / $49.99.

As of next week, after the Steam autumn sale (ending December 2nd), DayZ Standalone‘s Early Access price will see a small increase to $34.99. As part of the current sale, it is being sold for $29.74. Those of you sitting on the sidelines waiting to buy the game might want to jump on its current price to save some money.

Additionally, the studio has outlined their 2015 roadmap for the game, promising “new weapons, objects, craft able items, vehicles and implemented additional features and optimisations” every month.

“2014 has been an immensely successful year for DayZ,” said producer Brian Hicks. “We could have never hoped for so many people to join us for the adventure of Early Access development. As the team looks forward to our goals and features set for 2015, the vision of an open world sandbox where the player creates their own story and experiences comes closer to completion.”
