Sometimes, when I am working on a game, I just can’t seem to make any progress at all. At moments like that, it’s often a good idea to take a break and do something else. While I usually choose to visit my grandparents or submit myself to dreadfully long Japanese role-playing games, Dean Hall, creator of the popular DayZ mod and the upcoming standalone release, decided to climb Mt. Everest.
This was revealed on the man’s twitter, after a series of tweets and a number of pictures. Dean has safely returned from the 29,000 ft high mountain and is already continuing work on DayZ. For those curious about the game, there is still no scheduled release date and a public alpha will go live in June (at the earliest). A dev blog with the latest updates will be put together when the team has time for it, so we’ll have to wait until then for more information.
