PC players can now finally take on Daymare: 1998, a third-person horror adventure with survival mechanics that was originally developed as an amateur remake of Capcom‘s classic Resident Evil 2. To celebrate its premiere, the Destructive Creations and Invader Studios teams have released a launch trailer showcasing some of the most dangerous action sequences within the game. The developers promise that this survival horror will immerse you in a terrifying adventure.
Daymare: 1998 drops players in the remote village of Keen Sight, a small town set in a stereotypical rural North American landscape. Through the perspectives of three different playable characters, players face the threat of a strange disease that has turned people into zombies and released a series of mutant monsters in the streets. Following in the footsteps of what is arguably the most classic action horror game series, players must fight to survive as they unravel the mystery hidden in the buildings and streets of Keen Sight.
Following the play style of the most current Resident Evil, you will take on the roles of Liev, a soldier of the HADES corporation, Raven, a HADES helicopter pilot, and Samuel, a county police ranger. Each hero has a unique set of skills and playable elements of their own, ranging from increased resistance to constant paranoia to mastery in the handling of various weapons. Visiting such quaint village locations as the poicle station and hospital, players must solve puzzles and face hordes of undead.
While the PC version is now available, PS4 and Xbox One players will have to wait a while to enjoy this horror adventure. Unfortunately, the console version still has no specific release date.
