JBoc924What was first a surprise to fans of Konami’s long-running Castlevania franchise soon became a concern. Not only was Lords of Shadow set to be a reboot of the series, but it would be a 3D one as well. The fear fans had of Castlevania in 3D was mixed with the notion of a reboot of their beloved series. Konami sure had to deliver something special in order to get those worrying souls to have a change of heart. Dave Cox knew this as well, he states:
“The fan base absolutely hated the idea that we were working on it, to be honest,”
He then goes on to state, in an attempt to rid concern off fan’s minds:
“We have made sure that fans of the original series will see and experience elements that they will recognise, while also appreciating the way we have extrapolated key ideas from the past and reinvented them for the more powerful consoles,”
Castlevania Lords of Shadow starts hitting shelves on October 8. More info as it comes.
