Roguelike is a genre that has seen a massive resurgence in the past couple years, mostly to the growing indie development scene. It’s much like survival horror in that regard, but how about a game that combines elements of both genres? Well, Darkwood is that game, and it’s looking like a combination of the best of both of worlds.
The game’s developer, Acid Wizard Studio, has been hyping the game up for a while, and recently released a trailer highlighting Darkwood’s gameplay mechanics. It looks like there will be sanity effects intermingled with the light you can manipulate in the game, very cool stuff, check out that trailer below.
Even though they’ve already reached their crowdfunding goal, you can still support the project on indiegogo here. Darkwood is also currently in on Steam Greenlight, so head on over and give them a vote!
