Speaking with OXM, Dark Souls II producer Takeshi Miyazoe had this to say regarding DLC:
“There is definitely potential, I think. Again, it’s all about fan feedback. Right now we are concentrating on completing what we’ve got, but I think there are next steps on how we can expand on Dark Souls II. So I’m not really ready to say look forward to more information, but I think the potential is definitely there.”
Personally, I’m not a huge fan of DLC as I find it turns out to be worth less than what you pay for most of the time, but Dark Souls’ Artorias of the Abyss DLC was most excellent and definitely worth the price. I’m extremely happy to know they’re pumping everything into Dark Souls II without pre-made DLC plans, but if they can re-create the last batch of DLC for this game, I’ll pick it up on day one.
It sounds like we just need to stay positive and enthusiastic if we want to explore this new world some more!
