With the announcement of Zero Escape 3 at this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles comes some interesting news for fans of Danganronpa as well. At an Aksys Games panel at the conference, Danganronpa series writer / director Kazutaka Kodaka stated that he would like to work with Zero Escape series writer / director, Kotaro Uchikoshi.
Now, I haven’t played any of the games in the Zero Escape series myself (I aim to change that soon), but I’ve heard great things. These two creative leads have crafted some weird and violent visual novels. The potential of them teaming up for something would be pretty cool, and most definitely disturbing. Both series have been developed by Spike Chunsoft, so Kodaka’s desire to work with Uchikoshi wouldn’t be difficult to achieve.
Will they work together on a new IP? Danganronpa 3? We’ll have to wait and see!
