Dale North’s Silent Horror score released

silent horror

Oh man, today is a good day. Dale North of Destructoid fame scored 2005’s Silent Horror – X-Studios survival horror-inspired film – and 9 years later, it is available for your listening pleasure. While I’ve never personally seen the film, I’ve heard a couple tracks over the last couple of years from links here and there. If you like Akira Yamaoka’s Silent Hill soundtracks, you’ll find much to appreciate here. Heavy electronic percussion and melancholy melodies all bring forth memories of a childhood spent with blankets stapled to my window frame to block out the sun in order the preserve the perfect environment for the horror games of yore.

You can get these creepy (out-of) tunes on either Bandcamp or Loudr. Is it too much to ask for some rain or fog today for a perfect listening environment? Fine, screw you too, Southern California.

Thanks Dale!
