Crytek very well knows that their Early Access game Hunt: Showdown is rough around the edges. While I absolutely love the premise and the potential of the game, boy did it release on Steam way too soon. But some of those issues have been dealt with according to the developers, who have released a major performance patch for the game this week.
Performance Patch #1 hit Steam with some considerable fanfare from Crytek. The patch notes are lengthy, detailing CPU optimization, memory optimization, and improvements to the overall smoothness of the game. A 10-minute developer video dropped alongside the patch with various members from the dev team talking about how dedicated they are to improving the game and how the community informed their bug-squashin’.
Feedback to the patch seems positive, so we’re definitely on the right track. Hunt: Showdown is available on Steam for $29.99.
