The Silent Hill 2 remake is not even cold, yet Bloober Team is showing no signs of slowing down. A few months ago, the studio announced its new horror title Cronos: The New Dawn. If what’s been shown so far is already giving you Dead Space vibes, wait until you see the gameplay trailer that’s been doing the rounds.
It’s clear from what we’re being teased with that we’re definitely in for something that’s going to tickle that sci-fi horror itch, with some of that signature Bloober style we’ve come to know over the years. Cronos: The New Dawn invites us to “adapt or perish in the unforgiving wasteland,” as well as “defy gravity and manipulate temporal anomalies while facing nightmarish enemies.” All that good stuff.

According to the game’s official website: “you play as a Traveler tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts to dive back in time to 1980s Poland.” Currently, there’s no release date, other than it’s expected to launch this year. It’ll be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
While it’s very Dead Space-esque from what we’ve seen so far, many of us will be wondering whether Bloober Team’s upcoming horror can succeed where The Callisto Protocol failed.
