Many people pass off the idea that a 2D horror game could be scary. Those people haven’t played Corpse Party, which uses some fantastic visual and audio effects to really stir up a mood, and always working intuition and fear against you. While Corpse Party has been remade a few times over the years since it’s original 1996 release in Japan, the international and official XSEED release is the most definitive. Unfortunately, many might not be able to experience the game simply because it’s PSP exclusivity.
It is now confirmed that Corpse Party will be heading to iOS devices in Japan this Winter. It’s a direct port of the PSP title, but with some added touch-screen interface. While so far only the Japanese release is confirmed, since this is the international version of the game, we’re hoping we’ll see the game released on iOS devices worldwide.
