Corpse Party: Blood Drive to get a physical (and digital) release in North America

XSEED Games has finally dropped word on the the third and final chapter of the Heavenly Host Saga, Corpse Party: Blood Drive. Primed for release later this fall in North America on the PlayStation Vita, Corpse Party: Blood Drive will have a digital release and limited physical  “Everafter Edition” that includes a two-disc soundtrack with songs from all three games, and a “Dying Art” art book. *Drools*

“We’re confident in saying that we’re just as thrilled to be making this announcement as North American Corpse Party fans will be when they find out that Blood Drive will be getting a physical release,” said Executive Vice President Ken Berry at Marvelous USA. Yeah, excited because you found a way into my heart (and wallet), dude!

Corpse Party: Blood Drive wraps up the events started with the original Corpse Party. The series has returned to an adventure style, with 3D characters left to explore the hellish Heavenly Host Elementary School. Dynamic lighting, protective charms, and hiding spots are said to be new mechanics brought to the series for Blood Drive. Expect 11 story chapters, 8 extra chapters, art, music, cast interviews, and the series’ incredibly effective use of binaural 3D audio for simulated surround sound. It’s the Corpse Party that we know and love, but bigger!

Now if someone can ask the games industry why they announced Limited Editions for three of the handful of series I’d shell out more money for than normal, that’d be appreciated. I’m poor, this isn’t fair!
