Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient is an upcoming PC sequel to the PSP game, Corpse Party (which in turn was a remade official international release of the original 1996 game) announced for Japan. While we have no release window, nor any word of a release outside of Japan, we know it stars a girl named Ayame who awakens groggily in a hospital she doesn’t remember being admitted into. Of course things quickly go south as the whole facility becomes a game of survival. Looking quite possibly more RPG-like than visual novel (which would be the opposite of the first game, which was more of a visual novel with RPG elements), the game world is rendered in 3D, with 2D hand-drawn scenes sprinkled throughout to add more to the gruesome imagery and progress storytelling with more expressed emotions.
