Aliens: Colonial Marines has once again been delayed but not for too long. The Xenomorph horror show will arrive this upcoming February 12th.
I’m still on the fence with this game. It’s been in development for a long time and despite the footage seeming creepy, I think the game can go in two directions: bad or good. The latest trailer proudly boasts that it was made with “100% in-game footage” but it’s nothing jaw dropping in terms of graphical fidelity, but they did a good job at delivering suspense–the trailer’s namesake.
A good Aliens game would do the gaming world some good. With Prometheus just around the corner, and constant airings of Alien: Director’s Cut on HBO, I’m excited see more of Weyland Corp’s bullshit ideas blow up in their face. I wonder if his spine was ever recovered in that pyramid…
