Going by the description provided on the Steam page, the game appears to have a morality system where you can choose who to save and who to leave behind, which also appears to affect what ending you get. There is also a panic system in place that makes the world around Claire more hostile and scary over time, so my intuition tells me these two mechanics are at odds with each other, which could provide some interesting dilemmas for the player to solve.
