GameSpot has posted the trailer for the upcoming Alucard DLC for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, titled “Revelations.” They also got a chance to speak with the game’s producer, Dave Cox.
In the trailer we get a better picture of what to expect from Alucard’s story, which takes place before the events of the main game. We get to see him set up some key moments, like placing the Void Sword and Chaos Claws where Dracula finds them. And speaking of weapons, Alucard’s arsenal looks quite awesome, and I’m really happy that he’s going to get abilities and transformations worthy of his character (Symphony of the Night fans rejoice).
For those worried of re-used assets, Cox has confirmed that Revelations is made up mostly of brand new content, but you will come across some familiar faces. I just hope almost all of it takes place inside Dracula’s castle. And to reaffirm a sad truth (especially now that Iga has left Konami), MercurySteam is now completely done with the series.
Revelations hits on March 25th on all of the game’s compatible platforms!
