Glowstick Games has re-launched a Kickstarter for its game Dark Deception. The game is a maze puzzler, putting you against monsters such as the abominations seen in the header photo. They’re monkeys with knives, in case you were wondering. Collect the soul shards to progress.
To better illustrate, you can play a quick demo of an early version of the game here. The game has definitely been polished up since then.
This isn’t the first time that Glowstick has brought Dark Deception to Kickstarter. The previous campaign of $50,000 fell through, so the new one is set at a meager $15,000 and only a month to reach it. Reaching their goal would enable the team to release the game on the Playstation 4 and Project Morpheus as well as the Playstation Vita, Wii U and the PC with Oculus Rift support.
“Once we got our hands on an Oculus Rift dev kit (about a month into development) we were instantly sold. Maze games and horror work really well in VR. We firmly believe VR is the future of gaming and we are working tirelessly to provide an intense, but comfortable experience. Oculus is doing their part to help remove motion sickness, but we have to do our part as well. That means delivering a game that runs over 90 fps and lets the player have full control. We are also bringing Dark Deception to Sony’s Morpheus.”
You can head over to the game’s Kickstarter page and get yourself an early-bird copy of the game for a minimum pledge of $10. As of this writing, there’s still 32 keys available out of 40.
