Eurogamer reports that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is alive and real . The sequel to Konami’s gothic demon slasher will arrive on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and the Playstation Vita; they’re going all out on this one!
Eurogamer’s source, Paul Gale also reports that Castlevania: Mirror of Fate will be a 2D co-op game that can utilize the 3DS cameras for mirror based puzzles. Mirror of Fate was also be coming to the Wii U but Konami dropped that idea in place for a port of Lords of Shadow 2–a safer choice no doubt. Regardless of this, LoS for the Wii U might retain the special features that tie to Mirror of Fate. Both games will be developed by MercurySteam, the developer of the first LoS.
I wasn’t expecting any announcements like this until E3 or Konami’s own Pre-E3 show, but I guess you can only stay silent for so long. I just ordered myself a copy of Lords of Shadow, so I’m hoping I enjoy it and get on the hype train for the sequel.
