Capcom bringing Resident Evil 7 to Japanese shop with gameplay and a Q&A Saturday

Yamadenki Labi, a huge electronics shop in Tokyo, Japan, is letting shoppers take some time with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (or as it’s called over there, BioHazard 7: Resident Evil) this Saturday, July 16th.

We don’t know if it’s going to be anything new, so for the moment let’s just assume that it’s going to be Beginning Hour, the demo that’s available right now to PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS4. The main thing that’s exciting about this is that one of the game’s producers, Kawada Massao, will be there to answer questions for players. Who knows what kind of answers we’re going to get, considering how tight-lipped Capcom has been about Resident Evil 7 so far, but at least it means that we might be getting at least a little more information. Here’s hoping for at least some clues as to what’s going on in the story, or maybe hints as to what we’re missing in the demo. They have promised answers for the dummy finger item, although the promise seems to be pointing to a September reveal. Massao will only be there for an hour, 12-1pm, but players will get a free poster too. So, if you’re in Japan, or are able to get plan tickets, you’re good for some cool swag. We’ll keep our eyes open for information, if there’s anything new, from this event, and report back to you.
