Dead Rising 3 looks like it’s going to be loads of fun. It’s definitely the one Xbox One exclusive I’m most interested in at the moment. But there’s one thing that could really affect player’s satisfaction with Capcom’s latest zombie-filled open-world title: the frame rate.
Many previews have stated how the game’s frame rate doesn’t always hold up, sometimes even slipping below 30 fps when a very high amount of zombies are onscreen. Capcom has also received many questions directly concerning this issue, as it has affected both the E3 and most recent Gamescom build.
Capcom Vancouver senior producer Jason Leigh addressed this by stating to VideoGamer.com that the team is going for a steady 30 fps. He goes on to talk about the cooperation between his team and Microsoft:
“…And because we’re based in Vancouver, and Seattle is where Microsoft is based, we’re only three hours up the road so we constantly have tech people driving back and forth and they’re helping us to make this a very smooth running game at launch.”
Hopefully they’re able to iron this out in time for its launch in November alongside the Xbox One! Who’s getting the game and the system?
