Following the industry practice of announcing DLC for a game before it’s been released, SEGA has elaborated on their DLC plans for Aliens: Colonial Marines. The first planned DLC for the game will be a mode titled Bung Hunt, which will come with a set of cooperative centric maps where players will face increasingly more difficult waves of Aliens. It’s just your standard horde mode variant, but it’s nice to see that it’s getting added. The Alien horde mode in the 2010 Aliens vs Predator game was one of the few highlights of that title and chances are it’ll be even better here. There will be 3 other DLC packs for Aliens: Colonial Marines available by the end of august, no details where given as to what those will entail though.
There will be a season pass players will be able to purchase that grants them access to all future DLC for the game, the season pass will cost $29.00 or 2400 Microsoft points. If you happen to be playing the game on PC and want to grab the season pass, it’s currently up for pre-purchase on the Steam store. SEGA sure is channeling their inner Weyland-Yutani aren’t they?
